Cycling in Lienen
The small town of Lienen is very popular with cyclists. No wonder, because the possibilities for extensive cycling tours are excellent. Several themed routes, such as the 100 Castles Route and the Peace Route, pass through Lienen. But of course it doesn't always have to be a stage tour. Wonderful day tours lead to the impressive castle of Bad Iburg or to the picturesque old town of Tecklenburg. Untypical for the Münsterland region, there are also some high altitudes to be conquered - you will be thrilled by the wonderful distant views of the Münsterland region.
A real insider tip is a cycle tour to Loburg Castle near Ostbevern. The tranquil and spacious park is a feast for the eyes, especially when the rhododendrons are in bloom. Combined with Harkotten Castle near Sassenberg, this makes a wonderful little castle tour.
