On the trail of castles and palaces (50 km)
Defiant castles, an enchanted palace and atmospheric parks lie along your way and take you back to times gone by. From the centre of Nordkirchen you cycle towards Lüdinghausen. Absolutely worth seeing here are Vischering Castle and Lüdinghausen Castle. The path continues to Senden Castle and along the canal for a while before you cycle back to your starting point via Ottmarsbocholt.

"Tiergarten", "Hirschpark" and "Ichterloh" - yes, the forests in Nordkirchen don't just have interesting names, they are also attractive at any time of year. Here you can go for a wonderful walk and discover nature. The zoo exudes the splendour of times gone by. The Hirschpark nature reserve is known for its species-rich oak-hornbeam forests. And in the Ichterloh nature reserve, it's worth keeping an eye out for woodpeckers and nightingales.
