Cycling in Olfen
At the transition from the Münsterland to the Ruhr area, cyclists can expect a huge range of cycling tours around Olfen. In addition to the 100 castles route, three other themed routes lead through the town. The combination of countryside and industrial culture creates a charm all of its own. The Steverauen, the lakes around Haltern am See and the forests of the Haardt are true natural beauties. You can follow in the footsteps of industrial culture at the ship lift in Henrichenburg. And as usual in the Münsterland, the nearest castle is not far away. Cappenberg Castle near Selm, Nordkirchen Castle and Vischering Castle in Lüdinghausen are among the most beautiful historical buildings in the region.
