Ostbevern

The famous baroque master builder Johann Conrad Schlaun also left behind impressive evidence of his architectural art in Ostbevern. The Loburg moated castle, which has been home to a grammar school and boarding school since 1951, is now a regular venue for concerts.

Ostbevern comes up trumps with museums and gardens

For a nice end to an eventful holiday day, for example after a cycling tour or an excursion on horseback, the town has several options to offer. The museum of historical washing technology in Ostbevern-Brock, for example, is exceptional. You can enjoy garden art in Ostbevern without any barriers. Proud garden owners are happy to invite you into their gardens during the "Looked over the wall" event. The event takes place every year in June.

Ostbevern is perfect for day trips to the surrounding area

Ostbevern is also very popular because of its great location. Numerous excursions can easily be made from here. It only takes a few minutes by car or train to get to Münster with its countless sights. Telgte and Lienen surprise visitors with their historic town centres and even the charming nature reserve of the Rieselfelder near Greven is not far away. The Peace Route and the 100 Castles Route are just two of the beautiful cycle paths around Ostbevern.
