On the second Sunday in August, all book lovers get their money's worth.
In front of the unique castle backdrop in Raesfeld, antiquarian book dealers and private sellers offer a wide selection of books of various genres.
The range is diverse, broad and in some cases of high quality. It includes literary classics, contemporary novels, fiction paperbacks, children's books, non-fiction, old works especially for collectors and much more.
Some dealers have specialised in certain literature such as children's and young adult books and a bookbinder will also be presenting his work on this day.
"It's the adventure in my head that appeals to me when climbing." (Harald Berger)
Climbing not only challenges the body, but also the mind. For many climbers, determination, imagination and leaving their own comfort zone are the hallmarks of this special sport. Climbing also promotes social skills in the context of teamwork!
This week we want to get to know four different "types of climbing".
Bouldering, rock climbing, forest high ropes course and low ropes course
We will also show how and with what objectives climbing can be used in wilderness or experiential education programmes. Each day we will travel to the various climbing spots from our base camp (the NESBi). In the evening, on our return, we will cook together, reflect on our experiences and recharge our batteries for the next day...

Practical seminar: Interaction games and adventurous problem-solving tasks for team development and communication in groups
Many a problem can be solved purely logically with the mind. Stored thought content is retrieved and applied to the task. A crossword puzzle, for example, is purely a "mental game". It would not be solved any faster if we linked each search word with a specific experience...
However, when dealing with most of the tasks of everyday life, leisure time and professional life, we fall back on experiences made in the past, which have arisen from a practical acting engagement with the respective topics. The experienced carpenter planning a cupboard will not have to make a static calculation to know how many hinges the doors will need or what the minimum thickness of the side walls should be.
In living together and working with other people, we also draw on past experiences from family, association and work. Nevertheless, people often react differently than expected. Or the group events develop an unknown dynamic.
The so-called problem-solving tasks from experiential education are mainly used to develop teams. Authentic or educationally staged tasks are set for the group. The group-dynamic phenomena and team-supportive/obstructive behaviour of the team members that occur during the solution-finding process are then discussed in short reflection phases and transferred to everyday life or work.
The intensive and manageable character of the action-oriented methods makes it easier for the participants to relate the experience to their own person and to learn from it for future team situations. Within the group, the causes of communication problems and socio-psychological interrelationships become more directly visible.
