The municipality of Saerbeck and the Bunker 11 cultural association invite you to a joint exhibition by an extraordinary trio. The vernissage for "Eve in the eyes of Adam" begins on Saturday, 22 June, at 5 pm in Saerbeck Town Hall.
"Eve as Adam saw her" is the title of the exhibition. The exhibition brings together pictures and photographs spanning thousands of kilometres and offers to create a positive connection between Germany and the Middle East.
The works are by three artists born in Latakia in Syria: Alaa Nasser, born in 1985 and living in Germany, Ashraf Raheb, born in 1993 (Dubai) and the photographer Waseem Mhamad, born in 1989 (Syria). Alaa Nasser has been known in the region and in Saerbeck for years as one of the faces of the Bunker 11 cultural association.
His works range from echoes of pop art with a wide or narrow colour palette to stylised black and white drawings and futuristic, alienated light drawings. The painters and draughtsmen Alaa Nasser and Ashraf Raheb and the photographer Waseem Mhamad open up a wide field for observations and thoughts on points of view and their peculiarities, not only as far as Adam and Eve are concerned.

The sound has become rougher at KOSMONOVSKI. The marvellous melodies have remained, but the third guitar thickens the sound and creates more pressure. Where the organ used to set playful accents, a certain groove loosens up the songs. You can hear that the band deliberately took their time in the creation and development process. The vocals have become more energetic, the cautious restraint has given way to a certain urgency. As usual, Denninger poses the essential questions at the highest level, wrapping them up in bittersweet verses and gripping hooks that stick in your head after the first listen and make you want to raise your fists in the air and shout along.
And then there's AHAB from Cologne, who have been known as lovers of emo punk rock for many years. They play punk rock because "maybe that's the best way to live with the world."
AHAB and KOSMONOVSKI know each other from playing festivals together and are looking forward to a joint open-air show at the special venue in front of Bunker11.
Admission from 18:30
