On the trail of prince bishops and asparagus queens

This day tour tip starts in the heart of Sassenberg and follows Cycle Route 72 of the Münsterland cycling region between the former residential town of the prince bishops of Münster, Sassenberg, and the saving village of Füchtorf.The day tour leads through the picturesque park landscape of the Münsterland and past extensive asparagus fields. But you will also find architectural monuments worth seeing, nature reserves and recreational areas as well as castles and stately homes along the way. There is even a lido on the route: the one at Feldmarksee. The route is scenic and varied, running along well-maintained farm tracks and tranquil country lanes. On the 28 km long route, however, the unique Doppelschlossanlage Harkotten is probably the absolute highlight. It is worth stopping here for at least a short while!
