Every third Tuesday of the month, "Kaffee und Klönen" takes place from 15:00 -17:00 in the parish hall.

As part of the GWK Summerwinds Festival 2024, the 3rd Romberg Festival will take place under the artistic direction of Manaev.

The Romberg Festival is held in memory of two famous Westphalian musicians and composers of European standing: the cellist Bernhard Romberg (1767-1841) and the violinist Andreas Romberg (1767-1821).

The Romberg Days will kick off on Friday 19 July in the monastery church in Warendorf. On Saturday 20th July, there will be a theatre dialogue by and with Professor Walter Gödden and Carsten Bender about the life and work of the Romberg cousins in the foyer of the manor house in the evening.

The highlight of the Romberg Festival is the open-air concert on 21 July 2024 in the summer garden in Harkotten, where young soloists will perform pieces by the Romberg cousins, Ludwig van Beethoven and Robert Schumann.

All guests are cordially invited and can experience the high-calibre concert and the young musicians up close with their own catering.

The yoga by the lake in Sassenberg takes place on 3 August and 24 August 2024 from 09:00-10:00.

The guided tour of Hans Günter Winkler's villa offers deep insights into the person and life of the most successful show jumper of all time. "HGW", as everyone reverently called him, not only meticulously collected his medals, pictures and certificates and displayed them in the rooms of the villa. He meticulously archived thousands of newspaper articles about his sporting successes and his life. Pictures of him and celebrities from business and politics are displayed everywhere and a number of hunting trophies from his travels hang on the walls.
The saddle he put on during his legendary ride on the "miracle mare" Halla at the 1956 Olympic Games in Stockholm can be admired in the hallway of the house.

During the approximately one-hour public tour, you will learn many anecdotes from the eventful life of the city's honourable citizen.

As the number of participants is limited to 10, it is essential to book in advance!

The annual triathlon at Feldmarksee will take place on 4 August 2024.

Over 1,500 people take part in this special competition in a family atmosphere every year.

All participants have the opportunity to take part and make an individual donation when registering with their entry fee, which will then be debited from their account. On the day of the event, the official donation will be handed over between the award ceremonies.

The race briefing is mandatory for all participants and will take place at the start (beach).

Bike check-in is possible from 7.30 am at the entrance to the transition area until 60 minutes before the start. The bike check-out takes place until approx. 17:30.

The award ceremony is part of the race. Prizes will only be presented in person at the respective award ceremony. Those who do not take part in the award ceremony forfeit their entitlement to performance and prize!

Registration is possible from 01.02.2024 via the online registration or by post using the registration form.
