Steinfurt

Life culture and cultural experiences - that's what Steinfurt stands for with historical buildings, green corners and the many recreational opportunities in the surrounding area. Around Steinfurt, consisting of the districts of Burgsteinfurt and Borghorst, the Münsterland presents itself mostly rural interspersed with small wooded areas. For cyclists, the possibilities are almost unlimited. With the 100 castles route and the cycle tour of the historic town centres, two important themed routes lead through the district town.

Bagno and Concert Gallery: a treat for the senses

When the oldest free-standing concert hall in Europe, the Concert Gallery, calls to you, it's a special treat - and not just musically. If you have the time, you can go on a discovery tour in Steinfurt's Bagno, one of the largest recreational areas in Münsterland. The walking paths stretch beautifully along the lakes and through dense forests.

Many beautiful sides

But there is also a lot to discover besides these crowd-pullers. Whether local culture live in the mills and museums, historic town views, the magnificent moated castle of Steinfurt Castle, leisure fun on the bike or nature experiences: Steinfurt has a lot to offer. A special tip for those interested in plants is the district educational garden, which is well worth seeing.
