Through forest and meadows

Your cycle tour is characterised by tranquil landscapes, forests, meadows and the waters of the Ems. The 24-kilometre cycle tour is pure pleasure. You can enjoy the Münsterland parkland with almost no inclines. Your cycle tour starts at junction 42 in Telgte, just a few steps away from the town's picturesque market square. At the northern end of Telgte stands the imposing Marienlinde lime tree. At 750 years old, it is one of the oldest trees in Germany.

Picturesque landscapes on the Ems floodplains

The cycle path now follows the River Ems and crosses the idyllic Ems floodplains at the historic Haus Langen - a truly dreamlike section of the cycle tour where you can enjoy the landscape to the full. A short time later, you reach the "Beverdorf" village of Westbevern. A lovely place for a first short break. The cycle path leads through the vast Münsterland parkland to Ostbevern. A detour to Loburg Castle should not be missed, especially from the park side the castle shows its most beautiful side. The cycle path leaves Ostbevern in a southerly direction and plunges back into a varied landscape with small forests, pastures, meadows and heathland. Shortly before Telgte, you reach the Ems again. The ride through the Emsauenpark is a beautiful end to the cycle tour.

Finish in the old town centre of Telgte

The cycle tour leaves enough time to visit the RELIGIO museum or the pilgrimage chapel in Telgte. The cafés and restaurants in the old town are the perfect place to end the day in a cosy atmosphere.
