Fireside picnic at the Hesselmann farm

The modern Hof Hesselmann community centre in Münster-Mecklenbeck is the venue for the last Kaminpicknicknick 2024. Here you can enjoy a picnic in a cosy atmosphere in a typical Münsterland fireplace room. You can see this for yourself at the fireside picnic on Thursday, 7 March from 6 pm . The cosy fireplace, made of Baumberg sandstone as is customary in the Münsterland, has been moved into Hof Hesselmann from a farm in the surrounding area that no longer exists. This creates the right atmosphere in the evening and the delicious picnic from the wooden picnic boxes provides a culinary, regional experience.

But that's not enough! The combination of a reading with quirky everyday stories by Telgte author Christian Nachtigäller and the musical accompaniment of the duo "Sax mit X" with saxophone and piano will quickly make you forget the cold weather outside. Pianist Ken Richter and saxophonist Uwe Seyfert enrich numerous cultural events with their musical experience in pop, rock and jazz.

An all-round cosy programme for a convivial evening in front of the fireplace.

Stories of everyday madness and insane everyday life

Christian Nachtigäller tells of his bizarre encounters with the mystery of "everyday life" in a relaxed and light tone, sometimes laconic, sometimes humorous, sometimes wicked, but always with a twinkle in his eye.
Well equipped with a witty manner and some ingenuity, he faces up to the normal madness and masters the most incredible adventures. Whether travelling by train, on a first date, on a bike ride with friends or at a rural shooting festival: the "everyday hero" Nachtigäller stumbles into grotesque situations time and again and knows how to skilfully extricate himself from them.
He is a master of the spontaneous, the humorous and the absurd. Just a true "everyday hero"!
