Münsterland country tour with picnic
On Saturday, 15 June, the "Münsterländer Landpartie mit Picknick" will take place at the Bio-Hof Schwienhorst in Ottmarsbocholt, Senden. Here you can experience agriculture globally and locally.
A diverse programme for young and old is offered on the farm during the Münsterland Picnic Days. In addition to the action field with several hands-on stations, there will be great walking acts and musical accompaniment.
In keeping with the theme "Experience agriculture globally and locally", various rallies (bike tours) with the Leeze to the farm will be offered.
If you're already hungry from the journey by bike, you can make yourself comfortable on the picnic meadow between the fruit trees and picnic away.
You have the opportunity to order your regionally filled picnic box from the organic farm here until 14 June. For all those who do not wish to order picnic boxes, there will be a small gastronomic offer on site.

The cycle tours
You can also cycle to Ottmarsbocholt together with VAMOS e.V. and the ADFC Münsterland on a rally! As part of the kick-off rallies on 15 June 2024, VAMOS e.V. will open its Wandel & Handeln routes, which connect thematic destinations in the districts of Warendorf and Coesfeld and address the topics of agriculture in local and global practices.
All tours lead together to the Schwienhorst organic farm (Oberbauernschaft 8, 48308 Senden), where you can round off your time together with a picnic at the Münsterländer Landpartie.
The cycle tours start between 9 and 10 am from Lüdinghausen, Münster, Telgte, Ahlen and Tilbeck Abbey. More information and registration can be found here.
The action field
The Aktionsacker gives you the opportunity to discover the Münsterland in a whole new way. From 12 noon to 6 p.m., various organisations and associations will be presenting themselves on the farm grounds.
They will show you how the topics of regional nutrition, fair trade and sustainability are implemented regionally using small hands-on stations. Everyone is welcome and there is something for everyone, young and old!
At Pictorius Berufskolleg, you can discover various options for sustainable living in a Trade-O-Mat. At Mutter Erde Samen e.V. you have the opportunity to be introduced to different types of seeds and to purchase them.
And there's much more: the Münsterland seal, the Münsterland eco-model region, ADFC Münsterland, Regionalwert AG, Albengo de Alpaca and other actors will also be represented.
