The Tecklenburg Mountain Trail takes hikers to the very top! The start of the signposted Teutoschleife is the small town of Tecklenburg in the northern Münsterland. The location of the town on the balcony of the Münsterland is unique. In the old town, which is characterised by half-timbered houses, narrow alleys alternate with wonderful distant views. The panoramic view from the Bismarck Tower on the outskirts of Tecklenburg is particularly magnificent.
The 10.5-kilometre circular walk leads through beautiful forests along the Tecklenburger Land ridge. Shortly before descending into the Brochterbeck valley, the picturesque forest chapel awaits you. Just a few metres further on, the Blücher rocks amaze hikers. The idyllic village centre of Brochterbeck is ideal for a rest. Enjoy the peace and quiet around the mill pond. After a stop for refreshments, you can set off on the next stage of the hike.
The landscape is now more open and the path meanders in waves through the green landscape. Wildflowers and small forests accompany the trail through the Kleeberg nature reserve. Towards the end of the hike, the Teutoschleife once again particularly lives up to its name as a mountain trail: the path leads steeply in narrow curves to the starting point in Tecklenburg. A cool drink in one of the beer gardens or restaurants is well deserved.
