Haus Runde in Billerbeck is known for fairytale moments at any time of year. Like a picture book, the historic farmhouse is set in a romantic park. A walk along the moat or an arranged weekend visit will give you an insight into the picturesque setting. This is the venue for weddings, corporate events and the annual "RundePartie" crafts market.
When it was first mentioned in a document in 1370, the beautiful stone house was the main farm and fiefdom of the Münster St. Mauritz Abbey. Until 1744, the property bore the name Bertling, dedicated to the first owner family. After marriage and inheritance, the farm became the property of Werner Olfers, who named the estate "Haus Runde" after his wife in 1744 and whose descendants still look after the farm today. In the following centuries, the estate underwent numerous structural extensions. The gardens in particular are lovingly tended all year round and lend the estate the picturesque charm of the Münsterland Gräftenhof.
At the exclusive crafts market, which takes place annually in autumn, you will find stylish gifts made with loving craftsmanship and elegant items from selected manufacturers.
