The LWL Roman Museum is both a destination and a starting point for short and long cycling tours. The next cycle path of the Münsterland cycle path network runs directly by the museum, and it is also the starting point for numerous attractive themed routes. A short loop, also very suitable for children, leads once around the reservoir. In good weather, the cycle tour can be combined with a stop at the lido or a visit to an ice cream parlour in the city centre. Beautiful cycle paths lead to the 3-castle town of Lüdinghausen with Vischering Castle or to the wooded surroundings of the Haard.
4,500 km of signposted cycle paths criss-cross the Münsterland. The LWL Roman Museum can also be reached via the practical junction system. With the junction system, you can easily put together your favourite route with a few numbers.
