Especially in spring and summer, the farms and farm shops in Münsterland are a wonderful place to visit. You can take a short hike or walk, hop on your bike or horse and off you go! In the middle of the countryside, the farm shops offer the perfect place for a break with delicious cake, bread and strawberry jam or ice cream. And for a delicious meal at home on the terrace, you can pick up fresh asparagus, crunchy vegetables and, in late summer, delicious fruit. Because freshly picked apples, pears, mirabelles or cher ries make you happy!

Portrait of special farm shops

There are many special farm shops in Münsterland - and they often have their very own focus. In some, the focus is on fresh vegetables, in others on meat and sausage products from species-appropriate animal husbandry, in some on preserves from their own harvest. And sometimes the owners invite you directly to the farm café or to a regular tour of the farm. There you can not only learn more about the products you can buy in the farm shop, but also about their origin, cultivation and preparation.

We have tested various farm shops for you

Our colleague Victoria and our colleague Philipp were on site in Senden and took a look around the Grothues-Potthoff farm shop. After a short walk across the grounds, they treat themselves to some delicious cake on the sun terrace of the farm café. Afterwards they inspect the assortment in the farm shop. Our colleague Kristina, on the other hand, visited Naundrups Hof in Lüdinghausen. After a walk, she was really hungry for a good schnitzel - and she found it here!
