At the unique NaturaGart Park in Ibbenbüren, garden and pond enthusiasts as well as divers get their money's worth. In the beginning, the NaturaGart company's facility was just a testing ground for their pond technology. Today, the park with its colourful flora and aquatic wilderness is also a popular destination for excursions. Visitors can expect, among other things, a fascinating diving park, an aquarium, gastronomy to linger in and, above all, lots of woods, water and flowers. Suggestions for garden design are on top of it!
Tip: NaturaGart is especially worth a visit in spring. Then almost 300,000 blooming spring flowers transform the park into a sea of colour.
NaturaGart is a centre of attraction for scuba divers from home and abroad. The world's largest man-made diving park consists of a fascinating underwater world with winding caves, a sunken ship and mysterious primordial fish. The dive park always opens in April. Depending on the season, visibility ranges from 5 to 10 metres.
For those who want to marvel at the ponds from a different perspective, visit the largest cold-water aquarium in Germany at NaturaGart. Here, visitors can view the ponds and their inhabitants in the dry on more than 40 large glass panes.
Those who want to take a look behind the scenes of NaturaGart can register for a guided tour. The tour lasts about an hour. The group walks through the entire park - along the garden ponds and shore ditches, past the pond aquarium and the smallest swimming pond to the diving park - and thus gets an overall impression of the different divisions of NaturaGart.
