Open-air theatre Coesfeld

The Freilichtbühne Coesfeld e.V. has established itself as an outstanding amateur theatre since 1951, whether with world-famous musicals such as "West Side Story" and "HAIR" or with German musicals such as "Elixier" and "Linie 1".

The right mix of amateurs on stage and professionals in the artistic team ensures high performance quality. The performances are regularly sold out and delight new visitors as well as regulars. Thanks to the roofed auditorium, visitors can watch the performances in the dry even when it rains. Thus Coesfeld has another venue with its very own flair in addition to the Konzert Theater . Embedded in the Münsterland park landscape at the gates of Coesfeld, the open-air stage offers space for 650 people.

The open-air stage distinguishes between an evening musical and a lovingly staged family musical with playing times in the afternoon. Special performances take place on selected dates. The Freilichtbühne Coesfeld is an excellent destination for adults, families and grandparents with their grandchildren.

4 Tips for the Open Air Stage

  • Excellent performances and concerts are also offered by the konzert theatre coesfeld. After only a short time, the theatre has made a name for itself far beyond the borders of Münsterland.
  • The town castle of Coesfeld and Haus Loburg on the outskirts of the town tell more about the history of the town.
  • For nature enthusiasts, the Baumberge mountains are just the thing. Here the "typical Münsterland" park landscape shows itself from its most beautiful side.
  • Equally interesting is the glass museum in Coesfeld-Lette, which delights just as much with its impressive exhibits.
