Picnic area Feldmarksee Sassenberg

In the centre of the recreation area Feldmark near Sassenberg in the district of Warendorf lies the approximately 13-hectare Feldmarksee. With its bird sanctuary island, an idyllic sandy beach, extensive sunbathing lawns and a café, it is an attractive local recreation destination especially on sunny daysand offers more than one opportunity for a picnic:

At the lake there is a nice picnic area with benches and two tables for 6 to 8 people. There are also two meadow areas in this area where you can also picnic. The picnic area is located on the eastern shore of the Feldmarksee, opposite the water sports facility and the lido. On the south side of the lake, you can treat yourself to a delicious ice cream at the ice cream parlour or enjoy food and drinks at the "Heimathafen" restaurant. Both also have seating on the newly built ship, which is worth a trip in itself. A barbecue hut with several barbecue areas is also available to spend mild evenings or sunny spring afternoons in comfort.
