Stullen-Sandwich
Quickly prepared for your picnic outing in Münsterland is the sandwich with ham. The sourdough bread, a popular farmer's bread, has an unbeatable nutritional profile with lots of minerals and vitamins. The herb cream cheese adds freshness and rounds off the taste experience perfectly.
Ingredients
For 2 servings:
Ingredients herb cream cheese:
- 175 g double cream cheese
- ½ bunch chives
- Coarse sea salt
- Black pepper
Ingredients Strudel Sandwich:
- 4 slices of sourdough bread
- 1 small cucumber
- 2 beef tomatoes
- 8 slices of bone-in ham
- 2 eggs (size M)
- ½ bunch rocket or other salad of your choice
- 4 tablespoons herb cream cheese
...and this is how it is done
Preparation Herb cream cheese:
- Wash the chives and cut into fine rings.
- Put all the ingredients together in a bowl and mix.
Preparation of sandwiches:
- Spread all the slices of bread with the herb cream cheese.
- Boil the eggs for about 7-8 minutes, rinse, peel and slice.
- Wash and slice the tomatoes and cucumber.
- Cut the rocket into bite-sized pieces, wash and spread on the two slices of bread with the remaining ingredients. Now place the other two slices of bread as a lid on the sandwiches. If you like, cut them in half and wrap them in greaseproof paper for the picnic.
Veggie tip: Tastes delicious even without ham!
