Cycle tours on the Lyrikweg

Hülshoff Castle - Centre for Literature (CfL) is one of the most beautiful excursion destinations in Münsterland. The highlight castle is the birthplace of the famous poet Annette von Droste-Hülshoff (1797-1848). Today, the Center for Literature is a unique cultural centre. Droste later lived and dedicated herself to writing in Haus Rüschhaus, just seven kilometres away. Her famous novella "The Jew's Beech" was written here. The two places are connected by the approximately seven kilometre long Poetry Trail. The poet's life and work are presented in an unusual way at 20 stations. You will also learn lots of fascinating facts about how the landscape has changed from the 19th century to the present day.

Bike along the Poetry Trail from various starting points: from Haus Rüschhaus, Lake Aa in Münster or Havixbeck. Three different tours with their own focus on individual aspects of the Poetry Trail await you this summer! Whether Droste's writing, the Rüschhauser Heide, Allmende, rock stories or birdsong - the themes and approaches of the Poetry Trail are as diverse as the media used and the authors and experts involved. Discover the Droste landscape!
