Bus and train on the south course

If the entire southern section of the 100 Castles Route is too long for you and you would like to skip a section, you can organise your cycle tour as you wish by bus and train. We have put together some interesting options for you.

Lüdinghausen-Münster

Express buses X90 | S90 | S91

The express buses X90, S90 and S91 connect Münster and the castle town of Lüdinghausen. The bus routes connect the main railway station in Münster with the bus station in Lüdinghausen. The journey time is between 41 and 52 minutes, depending on the line.

You can extend your journey with the X90 express bus to Olfen, the southernmost point of the 100 Castles Route.

Express bus X90 | S90

The journey on the X90 bus line from the Mahnmal bus stop in Senden to Münster main station takes just 27 minutes. And if the departure time is not convenient, the express bus 90 only takes one minute longer from Senden bus station.

Nottuln - Münster

Express bus S60 | Fietsenbus R63

The S60 express bus connects the picturesque town centre of Nottuln with Münster's main railway station in just 29 minutes.

Every Sunday from 1 May to 3 October, the Fietsenbus R63 runs from Nottuln to Münster. Your bike travels free of charge in a special trailer. The journey time between the Nottuln-Rhodeplatz stop and Münster main station is 49 minutes.

Regional bus R53

The R53 bus line travels the route between Nordkirchen-Capelle and Lüdinghausen in 21 minutes. However, you should not miss out on a stopover at Nordkirchen Castle, as the Versailles of Westphalia is one of the highlights of the cycle tour.

By the way: Münster main station can be reached from Cappelle in 25 minutes on the regional train RB50.

The price depends on the distance (as the crow flies) between your starting point and destination. Within the Westfalen tariff, you will never pay more than €25 within 24 hours and never more than €32.70 within North Rhine-Westphalia. The maximum cost per month is never more than €49 for any number of journeys within North Rhine-Westphalia. Billing takes place via the mobil.nrw app or the app of a transport association.
