Asparagus season in Sassenberg

When the days get warmer, the asparagus season begins in Sassenberg . From April onwards, everything in the district of Füchtorf revolves around the noble vegetable. This is when the asparagus farms open their doors, asparagus is on every menu and the asparagus queen is crowned every two years. The sandy soils of the region give asparagus its special taste and have made it famous far beyond the borders of Münsterland. The asparagus season is over again by the end of June at the latest.
