Hülshoff Castle | Havixbeck

Hülshoff Castle near Havixbeck opens up an almost endless number of possible cycling tours. A bike tour in the footsteps of Annette von Droste-Hülshoff to Haus Rüschhaus is very rewarding. Particularly attractive: the tour can easily be extended to the old town of Münster, which is well worth seeing.

The Baumberg Sandstone Museum takes up the theme of "Münsterland gold" and thus wonderfully complements a visit to Hülshoff Castle. The detour can be supplemented very well with tours through the hilly Baumberge mountains.

Tourist Info Nordkirchen

Only a few metres from Nordkirchen Castle is the MünsterlandRad station at the town's tourist information office. After a walk or a guided tour through the extensive park of the castle, a bike tour through the beautiful surroundings is recommended. The castle axis takes you to Westerwinkel Castle near Ascheberg, which is well worth seeing. Another highlight of the region awaits you with Vischering Castle in Lüdinghausen. The picturesque castle with its museum and gastronomy is one of the most popular destinations in Münsterland.

Cultural Estate Haus Nottbeck | Oelde

The surroundings of the Haus Nottbeck cultural estate can be perfectly explored with short bicycle tours. A wonderful destination, not only for families, is the Four Seasons Park on the edge of Oelde's town centre. Combined with a visit to Pott's brewery, you're on a real epicurean circuit. The Liesborn Abbey near Wadersloh and the imposing Rheda Castle are historic buildings worth seeing nearby. A bike tour is definitely worthwhile.

Tip: At Haus Nottbeck there is a wonderful picnic area that invites you to a cosy end to your bike tour.

Göcke's House and Garden | Wettringen

Göcke's Haus und Garten is the name of the MünsterlandRad station in Wettringen. Grab your bike and cycle to Lake Offlumer or Haddorfer See. In summer, don't forget your swimming costume.

Although there is no castle in Wettringen itself, it is not far to some of the most beautiful buildings in the region. Haus Welbergen near Ochtrup is still a real insider tip. The moated castle of Steinfurt is famous far beyond the borders of Münsterland - wonderful to combine with a visit to the old town. A special highlight is a cycle tour to Rheine with a visit to Bentlage Monastery and the Saline Park.
