Every year on 3 October, cyclists get the feeling of being a racing bike pro. There are several routes of different lengths (LeezenCups) so that everyone can find the right race for them. There are three LeezenCups to choose from: 65 km, 95 km and 125 km.
Thanks to a full course closure, all cyclists can fully focus on the race. Those who want to prepare early for the next race will find optimal conditions six months before the actual race. This is because route tests are already possible on the signposted original route at this time. Special preparation workshops also ensure greater safety during the race.
The Sparkassen Münsterland Giro also has a lot going on off the course. One of the most important cycling fairs in Germany will take place on 5,000 square metres in front of Münster Castle. Here, spectators, fans and participants can find out about all the latest trends in sport, health and tourism . The trade fair is complemented by an extensive supporting programme. This includes an exciting stage programme as well as a cycling programme for spectators and participants, including the young guests of the Sparkassen Münsterland Giro.
Once again this year, you can choose the right cycling experience for you from three routes.
The "Cup of Sparkasse Münsterland Ost" leads over 65 flat kilometres through the beautiful Münsterland park landscape. This LeezenCup is ideal for beginners. The popular fun block is also back.
The "Provinzial Versicherung Cup" is a little more challenging with 95 kilometres and a few metres in altitude. Riders can expect beautiful sections and moderate climbs, but these are easily achievable with a normal level of training.
The "LBS Cup" over 125 kilometres is traditionally the most popular distance. This cup runs in large parts over the route that is subsequently tackled by the professionals. Here you should be prepared for a minimum speed of 29 km/h and a few metres in altitude.
There are also special races for children (LeezenKids) and the professional race (LeezenPros) with a length of 200 kilometres.
Fancy taking part? Then register now for the race and choose the right cup for you.
