The historic castle park in the garden community of Ostbevern is always worth a visit. But especially in late spring: when the rhododendrons are in bloom, Loburg Castle Park is transformed into a sea of flowers and colour.
Old and tall rhododendron species, some of which are unique, are scattered throughout the park and convey the flair of an English park. As part of the "Regionale" project, the pathways in the park have been restored to their original state and now invite visitors to take a stroll.

Exotic tree plantings in the park, which posterity owes to the ancestors of the owner family, and trees in general are a major topic at the "Not only ... Looking over the wall" event organised by Ostbevern Touristik e.V.
On 8 and 9 June 2024, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary in the municipality of Ostbevern, it will also be time for a garden tour. It's not just worth visiting the castle park - private gardens will also be opening their doors and inviting guests to admire their little paradises.
The starting point for this popular circular tour is the orchard meadow opposite Ostbevern town hall, where participants can pick up the necessary maps and information material.
"Not just ... Looking over the wall" presents gardens, art and special features along the way again this year. The route, which is around 25 kilometres long, also leads through the castle park and is a very special treat for visitors to Münsterland who want to explore the countryside by bike.
