The stallion parades and the symphony of stallions in Warendorf, Riesenbeck International in Hörstel or the wild horse catch in Dülmen are outstanding events in the calendar of events of the Münsterland horse region.
From 18 to 21 July, Riesenbeck welcomes the world's top show jumping riders to the Longines Global Champions Tour. A weekend of top-class sport in the Münsterland.
The German Foal Championships has been one of the most important breeding events in equestrian sport for over 20 years. Those who make it to the final in Lienen have already proven that they have bred one of the best foals in one of the nationwide qualifiers, as only 25% of the foals presented are allowed to attend the final in Lienen.

The National Eventing Championships for Young Riders, which were launched in 1989 to get young people interested in eventing, have long since achieved their goal. Top riders such as the Olympic champions Sandra Auffarth and Julia Krajewski and many current championship participants in the pony, junior and young rider categories are among the former participants in the Federal Young Rider Championships, which are held in two divisions - horses and ponies.
Today, the combined test - consisting of dressage, style jumping, style cross-country, theory, pre-muscling and walking - is a firm fixture in the tournament calendar. The dressage, show jumping and cross-country tests are each held at A level.
There are two divisions, horses and ponies. Selection and nomination is carried out by the regional associations.
Each regional association may enter a team of three to five riders as well as other individual riders, provided they are able to meet the requirements in dressage, show jumping, cross-country, theory and pre-modelling of the horses and ponies.
