One of the most beautiful sections of the Münsterland Riding Route and a wonderful natural area: the Rieselfelder in Münster. What was once intended for the city's waste water is now a nature reserve with unique biodiversity. The route leads along beautiful sand and meadow paths along the Rieselfelder to the Bockholter Berge in Greven.
For a multi-day trail ride, the "Rieselfelder Riding Route" section of the route can be perfectly combined with the Integrative Riding Route, but the Lienen and Warendorf Riding Routes can also be reached via the route network. You can also enjoy the riding route as a perfect day ride in Münsterland.
The riding route in the Rieselfeldern is certainly not a classic day ride, as it is not a real circular route, but a section of the Münsterland Riding Route. And yet, with a few changes, the actual A-B route is the perfect day trip. In addition to the Rieselfelder nature reserve, the Bockholter Berge are also a real highlight. The nature reserve is bordered by forest and sandy dune and heathland landscapes. Two very special natural areas combined in a riding route of around 20 kilometres.
On this route, you'll be spoilt for choice: several rest stops offer the perfect conditions for a wonderful day in Münsterland. Do you like to indulge yourself and enjoy regional specialities? Then you can stop off at the Heidekrug on your ride or savour the delicious delicacies at the Renfert-Deiterman farm shop. The Münsterland delicacies from the farm shop are best enjoyed on a picnic in the Rieselfeldern. The Heidekrug can also be your starting point for this route. Perfect for a refreshing drink at the end of the day's ride
