The Haard, a large hilly landscape of sandstone in the Hohe Mark Nature Park, is a unique experience for horse and rider: here you ride through a fairytale forest and over seven mountains.
Covering a good 55 square kilometres, the Haard is one of the largest contiguous forest areas in NRW and thus the ideal riding arena. In this area, you have around 250 kilometres of specially developed and linked bridle paths at your disposal. In the midst of one of Germany's largest nature parks, the Haard offers pure relaxation in the great outdoors: ride the Stimberg on the Seven Mountains Trail and look far over the forest and meadow landscape. There are also exciting views from mountain heaps, old winding towers and other sites of industrial culture close by.
In the Haard riding arena you can experience nature with your horse on varied tours of all levels of difficulty. Drop by for an afternoon ride or plan your first extended day tour right away. And because the network of trails is so close-knit and well connected, you can always change or extend your route spontaneously. An important plus: All connecting routes of the Münsterland Riding Route are signposted and marked with GPS coordinates for riding routing.
With 250 km of bridle paths, you are spoilt for choice. Go to the Münsterland tour planner and create your personal route. Where you ride and how long the tour lasts is entirely up to you.
