The Hohe Mark Nature Park offers beautiful natural areas, some of which you can experience up close with your horse. The forest area between Dorsten-Lembeck and Haltern am See is a paradise for riders. In the shade of the old trees, beautiful forest and sandy paths, a few hills and a dense network of riding routes await you. Ride through the extensive area on a trail ride and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Hohe Mark Nature Park.
The 16-kilometre circuit takes you through the Hohe Mark on predominantly wide and sandy forest paths. The trail ride car park on Granatstraße (K42/level Alter Weseler Weg) is a good starting point for the day's ride. The actual starting point for the circular tour is 1.5 kilometres away and is located at "Schacht 9 der Zeche Auguste Victoria". However, this can be easily reached via the network of bridleways from the hikers' car park. You should definitely pack a picnic for your day in the Hohe Mark, with several shelters or the fire watch tower on the Galgenberg offering picnic spots for a break.
The circular tour shown here is a possible day tip for the Hohe Mark Nature Park. The two individual circuits together form a loop of around 16 kilometres in length. The day trip can be shortened or extended thanks to the dense network of riding routes. With the Münsterland tour planner, you can easily customise the day tip to suit your own wishes. For example, you could add a detour to Lembeck Castle to the round trip. The possibilities are endless!
