On horseback through the Steinfurt countryside

Experience the typical Münsterland park landscape in Steinfurter Land. The route starts in Gronau at the Driländersee lake right on the Dutch border. The Bentlage Monastery in Rheine, which is well worth seeing, marks one of the highlights of the riding route. During a tour of the monastery and the exhibitions worth seeing, your horse is well accommodated in the paddock.

In between, picturesque wetland conservation areas, the many sandy paths in the Metelener Heide and the striking elevations of the Rothenberg in Wettringen are just waiting to be explored by you.

The landscape shaped by the waterways of the Ems and the Dortmund-Ems Canal spreads out beautifully before you. On the way to Tecklenburg, you will pass the Surenburg in Hörstel-Riesenbeck, which is known as a driving mecca and the home of the internationally successful show jumper Ludger Beerbaum. A walk around the grounds is definitely worthwhile!

With the Tecklenburger Land mountain range in view, you ride past Haus Marck near Tecklenburg. The surroundings with the Königsteichen are extremely idyllic and quiet - ideal for a trail ride.
