Riding around the horse capital

With the more than 230 km long, signposted riding route, a varied offer has been created around the horse capital Warendorf for holiday, leisure and hiking riders. Country inns and riding stables are located as rest and riding stations directly along the route or only a few gallops away. They are attractive points of contact that allow you to plan flexible riding tours, from hourly and daily rides to riding tours lasting several days. One third of the Warendorf riding route consists of natural sand and forest paths, as well as verges along farm tracks. Some sections of the route consist of asphalted and gravelled paths, so it is recommended that the riding route be prepared with shod horses.

Visit Warendorf and experience something of the special atmosphere in the horse region. The Warendorf riding routes are part of the Münsterland riding route.

On a flying visit to Warendorf

During your visit, visit the town of Warendorf, which has been officially designated as a horse-friendly community. Here you will not only find the German Olympic Committee for Equestrianism, the Federal Training Centre and the famous stallion parades of the NRW State Stud, but also a wide range of riding opportunities for leisure riders. And if you don't have horses and riding on your mind, you can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere in the alleys of the old town.
