City Tour Warendorf | Tour Tip for Riders

Riding through the town on grass and sand paths - that sounds almost too good to be true. The Warendorf city circuit is ten kilometres long and offers numerous highlights. There are many possible starting points for this ride. The Hotel Mersch and the Hotel-Restaurant Emshof are available near the route for a leisurely stop. The route offers a distinctive mix of grass and sand paths through the Warendorf town area. Among other things, the route leads through the Ems Park and past the Josephs Hospital. Probably unique is a bridle path on the edge of a new building area, which leads along well-tended gardens and is protected by a green noise barrier.

Further on, the route leads along a tree-lined sandy path along Dr. Rau-Allee, where motorised traffic is also on the road alongside riders and cyclists. The route continues past the German Armed Forces Sports School, across the grounds of the German Equestrian Federation (FN) and the German Olympic Committee for Equestrianism (DOKR). On the way back, the route runs through the Gröblingen district. This section also offers riders and horses plenty of variety due to the changing ground.
