Milte-Velsen carriage and driving route

Get out into nature and enjoy the marvellous Münsterland park landscape on a carriage ride. The Milte-Velsen route is around 17 kilometres long and runs north of the horse capital of Warendorf. The route is ideal as a day trip, but can also be easily combined with two other tours, making it a great weekend tip.

The carriage and driving route leads along narrow country roads and beautiful field and meadow paths through beautiful countryside. The varied landscape is characterised by fields, meadows and small forests. The Hessel river, which crosses the route here and there, has a very special charm. On an idyllic country lane, framed by trees, you cycle parallel to the Hessl through the beautiful countryside. Take advantage of the marvellous view for a short break or a picnic on your day trip through the village of Milte and the farming community of Velsen.

Note on signposting

The Milte-Velsen carriage and driving route runs for the most part along the signposted Münsterland riding route, but deviates from the route planned for riders in a few places. The tour tip is not signposted separately. We therefore recommend using the map or the GPS track.
